A remarkable place
to become yourself.
From humble beginnings to a thriving, ever-evolving environment. Explore the spaces that make discovery possible.
Built for learning.
Designed for living.
In January of 2023, we opened the doors of our new home. Redwood Academy is located in Lenasia, South of Johannesburg.
Our school is bright, welcoming, warm and refreshing. It boasts bright classrooms alongside fully equipped science labs. Our library is simply Seussian, offering wonder and adventure through the wonders of words. We offer computers, robotics and virtual reality facilities that have our next Gen learners soaring to infinity and beyond.
Busy bodies and minds require proper nutrition, which is why we have the in-house Café Red and tuckshop. Fresh meals and snacks are prepared on-site for learners to purchase and enjoy. With hot chocolate in winter and freshly squeezed juice on a hot summer’s afternoon, our learners never experience a midday slump!
Room for every interest.

A campus that brings us together
More than a school day.
Uniforms and stationery can be purchased at school, too, ensuring learners are well-equipped with everything they need to succeed.
Our playground is colourful and bright, ensuring magical movement and exciting escapades are enjoyed by our young learners. We also have playground pets – our bouncing bunnies and toddling tortoises – who help learners develop nurture and kindness, while providing sensory experiences. More regulation and grounding are offered through our sandpit and occasional water play.
We also have a rooftop soccer arena, fully equipped with parlours and nets to ensure the safety and immersive experience for all budding soccer stars.
The Aquatics Arena is newly built and equipped with a stunning and safe heated pool, along with changing rooms for both boys and girls. Here, younger learners are engaged in the Learn to Swim programme, run by qualified and experienced swim instructors.
Finally, our school hall is used for sports in the event of inclement weather, school events, matric exams and external functions.
Our spectacular school environment provides learners with all opportunities and advantages towards success, happiness and holistic development.
